ULTIMATE SHAVEOur most popular service begins with a hot towel to soften the beard. We then massage the face with our pre-shave oil to soften and protect the skin.... After applying our original shave cream, our Master Barbers begin to put their years of experience to work. The face is shaved twice, once with the grain, and then re-lathered and shaved across the grain for a closer shave. The face is then wrapped in a hot towel while the barber prepares with fresh ingredients our after shave mask, seconds before it is applied to the face. Once the mask has dried, it is removed with a hot towel soaked in lemon essential oil. BEARD TREATMENTThe Beard Treatment will leave your beard feeling soft and rejuvenated.... This soothing service starts with a hot towel to open the pores, we then massage the face with our beard wash to cleanse the beard. The face is then wrapped in a hot towel while the barber prepares with fresh ingredients our signature face mask, seconds before it is applied to the face. Once the mask has dried, it is removed with a hot towel soaked in lemon essential oil. The beard is then brushed to detangle, exfoliate, refine pores and stimulate growth. A 200 year-old craft is not something you can pick up overnight. Each of our trained professionals goes through the equivalent of a masters program in the art of barbering. It’s a process that takes nearly two years, but for The New York Shaving Company Barbers, the journey has just begun.
The New York Shaving Company has such high standards for their barbers, that a minimum of five year’s experience at the Master Barber level is required for consideration. It’s a period of time that allows each barber to hone their skills beyond the training they have received. It is also a period of time that makes the employment by The New York Shaving Company both an honor and a worthy accomplishment.
